Mini Pincushion-Pacific Yew

Description:

This cute little pincushion stands approximately 2" tall.  May be green or burgundy velvet as stock varies.  Unique exotic wood, made of warm Pacific Yew.

Pacific Yew is an even-grained wood with a very fine texture.  Bright orange to rose-red The bark of Pacific yew contains a drug, taxol, that is being used in cancer research, so demand for yew bark by the National Cancer Institute has increased dramatically in recent years.
